Super Jet Jetworks T-Handle Screws, bottoming out.

I just installed 2 high and 2 low speed T-Handle screws from Jetworks into my stock 38's on my '04 RN, and the T-handle section of the screw is bottoming out on the aluminum carb housing before the screws seat fully. Thus I can't tell where 0 is and don't know how many rotations out I am when tuning.

Is the solution just to cut the surrounding aluminum off the housing or do I have a set out of spec T-Handle Screws?

My 38s came on my JM781, (I believe they were set up by Blue or Chris....) and they cut off the aluminum section to install the T-handles. It looked odd at first glance but then I realized why it was needed.

I'd plug the hole with something, lop the excess aluminum off and be on your way!
