Jetworks water restrictor

I bought a water restrictor with the intention of installing it at the stinger to dry out the water box. However I’ve always been told two strokes make more power with higher back pressure. My goal is more top speed. Should I be restricting the water to the head pipe instead?

I like the adjustable flow control valve for the stinger so that the more rpm you're turning, the more water you'll into the exhaust. Adding restrictors to your headpipe will cause it to heat up which can add more rpm and power, but at the cost of bottom end. Also can get too hot which can damage the exhaust or engine. I always put any restrictors on the outlet side of the lines so the restrictors are easier to get to in case I need to change them and you'll always have more pressure in the headpipe with the restrictors on the outlet side.

Me thinks you don't want to restrict water to the headpipe. I have read that if tuning a B-pipe, you actually would do better increasing water pressure to the headpipe and restricting water injection volume by as much as needed for your setup to really make use of the water injection benefits. Something to think about as well is, one of the best racing pipes out there is the Speedwerx dry pipe, the only water entering the exhaust is at the stinger going into the waterbox :)
