What pump are you running with the 900R?

I am testing with 3 pumps at the moment. So far the only pump Iv'e tried is my oem 144 that Iv'e been using for years now. I ride 99.9% flatwater.
OEM 144, Hooker 10/16 -7mm cutback that I'm only running -4mm at the moment, 85mm Protec exit nozzle, Thrust straight pull trim, ProTec long stng
nozzle, stubby cone. This pump worked GREAT yesterday at the lake. Moving the prop back and forth makes a huge difference and I'm still playing that
game for the time being. I also have a 140 and 144 MAG to test with.

I wanted to start with the pump that has worked so good for me with my old Lamey motor and then move to the MAG pumps. (wanted a solid baseline comparison).

So what are the specs of the 900r?

So you have a total of 4mm between the prop and fins? I just got a Hooker bc my solas prop needed to be cutback.

Have you found an optimal distance between the pump and the prop?

"Optimal" depends very much on the motor and rest of the pump setup.
The closer the impeller is to the vanes, the sooner the motor will be under load. Further away - motor can spool up a little before the load hits.
Closer - motor is loaded down sooner.

Gil, if you are 99.9% Flatwater and you are running a magical 900cc unicorn "twin cylinder 2 stroke" that impressed you so much when you rode it (there's your baseline) then why are you still messing with the stock pump? You have a 140 and 144 mag pump sitting there... Throw that 144 mag pump in there and sell the other pumps to fund some extra props/nozzles/intake grates for testing

Thanks for crushing my dreams bro. Did I do that to you when you were waiting on your hull from Jeff?

Wait, I think I did.
