Joe and Chris Grace's seadoo spark powered Krash Footrocket

How can you say you wouldn't enjoy riding something you've never ridden? You have no basis to make that type of assumption. As I said before, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However, in order to form an opinion, at least test the product first.
i spit on 60 hp and piss on 110 hp. 4 strokes have no bottom end/turbo lag and i'm not a buoy racer. if i'm not doing air tricks, i'm not having fun. if i wanted to scoot acrossed the water like a sitdown, i'd go down the freeway on my harley or vette with the windows down. i have 61mph race boats and rec boats that i rarely ride.

But you do not know what the bottom end of the 110hp spark could be in a stand up hull.. Because no one has done it until now. But hey, if it's not for you then it's not for you mate, no worries here

He's gone, but does give anyone the right to hate on him, He is not here to defend himself. Lets get this thread back on topic. I did not see this ski, only heard about it the other day.

A bunch of us were walking on the beach Thursday or Friday, right before closing time and we saw the Grace's setup and immediately saw the SparkRocket and had to go check it out. Joe talked to use for about 30 minutes ago it, and we were all super excited about this project. They did a great job...I am eager to see how it rides.

i think its a good idea. i personally wasnt a fan of two strokes before getting into skis. so this kinda makes me happy

Agreed, I didn't intend on this to turn into a heated debate, just trying to share new and innovative things for the better of the sport.
I think your comments would have been more valid without the 2 stroke dinosaur comment. The 4 stroke has a lot to prove in our arena, the 2 strokes have long proven history, and guys are still squeezing more and more power out of the setups today. I think its cool Chris is doing this, he is trail blazing for sure, but as mentioned, there is a lot of work ahead before the 4 stroke can prove itself as a freeride/freestyle motor.

Not hate, just stating where the sport is today.

SO FAR CHANGE SUCKS!!!!!!
Buzzard your a licoriceing douch.

This was awesome. It sounded nasty in the water to. I could tell your dad was having a blast out there on it as he should, that's all that matter's, not some lame guy on the Internet hating becasue he isn't smart enough to do it.

Saw this in Daytona. Very awesome, and awesome for you to put this much work and effort into something. People can criticize, but screw them, that's why they sit behind keyboards and do nothing for the sport. I didn't get to ask you, what happens when you barrel roll these 4 strokes, or backflip for that matter? Do these motors go into limp mode, or have any issues with the oiling systems from not constantly being in an upright position?

Zimmy, you're completely right. 2 strokes are proven and aren't going anywhere. Tons of work to get the 4 stroke to get anywhere near the power of 2 strokes. And as I said before we by no means are trying to eliminate 2 strokes, just offer an alternative. I know it's different but Motocross has made the switch so maybe one day we can too!

We're working with Vtechtuned now as they are making custom tunes for us that will disable limp mode and also automatically start us in sport mode. Other than that, we'll see what happens when it happens. As far as tipping it over, we did so during the test and had no issues.
