So some of you may know as I have reached out to you.
I have johns last painted creation. It was painted his last day with us and wasn't even 100% complete when he passed.
It was to be pin striped and cleared the day John left us all.
This started out as a retro to my old paint scheme off my square nose and John took it to a whole different level for me.
Well now John has passed and I am turning this into a tribute to John and all he has done for so many.
John painted this boat as a favor to me to get me back on the water with a modern boat.
Now I'm doing something else with the boat and turning it into Johnny Blowsion tribute.
I have reached out to a few people and they have contributed some parts to the build and some have just passed on being involved.
If anyone has something they would like to offer in the boat please feel free to reach out.
I am not looking for hand outs as much as input and offering to those who would like to see it with something of there's on it.
John was a huge WWII fan so I am doing a theme on the inside of the boat that compliments his love for WWII air planes.
Fortunately for me I have some exp in restoring WWII Air planes and using that knowledge and some connections to add a whole new twist to this build.
I actually have some parts that are off a WWII plane that was crashed into lake Washington and the parts are being used to make some of the things under the hood.
The parts are original to John favorite dive bomber, the SBD, and my favorite the F4U.
I will have the boat at surf slam but not compete.
It will be 100% complete for display at Havasu.
I have three motor choices for this boat and I'm waiting to hear from some key people on which motor to use.
