It is not permanent. It got to the point of every time I logged in, I was having to fish thru IP addys to see if they were legit. We get a notification for people joining the site with suspect IP addy's. When there are 4 and 5 each time you have to try and figure out why flagged. These are after they have answered the questions to join..... the >>SGS@minecraft.org email addy's were a dead giveway. But JoeJetskier@gmail.com looks like joe blow. So then you have to try and figured out if they are legit. I would go as far as if they had a name in email I would go to FB and try and find them. Sometimes I got lucky and they were legit. But now I have spent 10 minutes just on one member, plus at times I would just leave it hanging for a while and try to make a judgement call and deside later......... This is not good for my health and longevity of this forum. So at this point, I may have spent an hour or more each day on this....... Hoping that after a few weeks these spammers just go on to other websites and we can get back to normal.

We appreciate the work you do. Have you considered expanding the admin team to lessen your workload?

I understand why it was done, but immediately thought about the implications it has on the industries #1 parts supplier... Hopefully not impacted too much.

There used to be a website called nyrocatv.com that put a hold on new members a long time ago. I had just bought my 2015 Suzuki KingQuad 750 and was looking for really good info on that year because they changed a few things from the previous year, but also what reliability mods might be recommended. I tried to sign up and was put on a waiting list. I was still able to see the forum and read some of the info but obviously not post anything. Until I read this thread I thought nyroc was still going...turns out they've signed off and the domain name is for sale now =/ I and I'm sure the rest of us are at the very least, very thankful for this site still being maintained and operational. You gotta do what you gotta do BK, heck I keep my phone set to deny all incoming calls for 2-5 or more months at a time to stop the phone scammers. Once your number comes back to them as not in service it's automatically removed from their list. I have to do this a few times a year or they will never leave me alone. Usually I can go for 3-6 months call scammer free after a round of all calls blocked. Everyone that knows me anyway knows how much I hate the phone so they're all used to it lol

All of those older sites that were built on Invisionfree and zetaboards platforms were sold off to Tapatalk in 2018 . my site Bamafreeride was one of them, the site is still up and running even though it's been pretty much dead for years now , the whole group of riders that I used to ride with left the sport and got into other things , I just use it for storage of things I need to be able to find later on . basically cloud storage , as long as they want to keep footing the bill I will let them do so.
