Looking forward to seeing the pics. Have you used a WestCoast Waterbox before? I used one on a 650SX and it was REALLY loud... especially if used with a side exhaust.

I have not used one and I'm using a side exhaust so I'm not looking forward to the noise. Maybe I'll try to dump some water in after the box to quite it down a little. I would like to do some research on all the different styles of boxes and how they work etc.

first pic below is how it would sit with nothing done and it rubs on top and the side. so the second pic is what i planned to cut and the hood will have the same arched cut in it, i will just have to be extra precise with the hood so that i get a good seal on it.

below is the west coast box before and after i didn't take off too much but you can see in the first pick that on the left pipe here is a ton of material around the top right.

and here is what i ended up cutting out. its a little different than the hatched in section from the other pictures but i figured it would open up a lot more room for running the xhaust and stuff since it's soooo tight in there. i was worried about it making the hull even more off balanced than it probably will be but im hoping it will be fine.

pre layup and post layup. i am awful at estimating how much resin i need. ive done 3 orders now and there is a possibility of a fourth. my footstraps should be in tomorrow so i will do 1 or 2 more layers over the back and put in the mount for the footstraps. then i just need to re-fiberglass the area i cut out yesterday. then do a ton of sanding and do a ton of filler and more sanding. im not going to be picky about the finish on this thing because it's not going to be good.

Looking good. Everything on my ski fit, although when running the pipe does rattle and touch the hull. I do plan to try to wedge turf between the hull and the pipe. I am running a super trapp water box.

where is your battery and are you running a bilge pump?
got my foot straps in the mail today so i put down some aluminum inserts and glassed over them and did a final layer of glass on the tray. with the aluminum inserts im hoping i can use the straps with shoes and bare foot. we will see though. the westcoast waterbox isn't going to work the inlet is too high. so i will be on the hunt for a waterbox that will work and one that i want. you can see in the pic that the chamber hits the outlet of the waterbox (it is sagging a bit). the one pic is the handle pole backer plate i made tonight and i bought a piece of stainless hoping to be able to use it as a side exhaust and glass it in or something to that affect. ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTION ON A WATERBOX? im thinking i will do a right front exhaust. i want a 2" interior diamater inlet and outlet (or at least a 2" outer diameter, but thin wall aluminum none of this cast aluminum with quarter inch walls)

Battery goes in the bottom right of my picture. I am running the Rhaas kit. No bilge just a one way valve. The water box is a pain to get in there, and I didn't rocker the nose. I wish I had a mod chamber to get the extra 1.5" that you have.
