300/440/550 js550 footholds?

I've done a bit of Google searching and the only forum posts that talk about installing foot holds on a 550 are expired and the pics are gone. Anyone have any info on installing footholds on this machine? I am just starting out on standups I got the riding part down and now I'm working on subs and such.

Any other recommendations on inexpensive/worthwhile mods for this machine?

These are all valid questions that I'm interested in too. Also, when you install footholds into a JS550, where do you relocate the fire extinguisher to?

I'm willing to keep it under the hood, I don't think I will effectively battle a fire on the water so I might as well let the ship sink. I will only keep it so the fuzz will be happy

My SN SJ extinguisher is under the hood, but I'm worried that the 550 won't have enough space.

I got to take a look but I'm sure I will find some where. They also sell mini fire extinguishers as far as I know.

mine fits right on top of the fuel tank fits perfect

I did not do foot holds but cutting the tray and making it wider was the reason for my fire extinguisher re location

That looks amazing! How did you do that? Any tutorials on how to fiberglass or whatever it took to do that?

Thanks. ill see if i can post some more pics i de turfed the hull and started measuring it all out then grabbed a saw and started cutting . as far as fiberglass goes its not rocket science id recommend going down to home depot buying fiberglass mat and resin and start playing with the stuff . And go find a damaged hull that if you mess up its no big deal and start cutting and glassing

Excellent! Now I'm thinking about cutting the side walls off all together & just using footstraps.. that thing looks sick!

So ifi want to learn about hull modification, I should just search "fiberglassing hulls" or something?

That has been done and is easer to fiberglass cause it's all flat
