JSU Girdle Head install on SXR

For the girdle install, is it in fact necessary to loosen all the "cylinder to case" nuts in order to clear the new JSU nuts (4) for the corners? In doing so would that tear the stock base gasket?

To install a JSU gridle kit you must machine the sides of your cylinder. You also will need to have the cylinder up off the cases for the corner nuts to clear while installing. You might as well also replace the oem paper base gasket with a metal core gasket.

ill be doing this for a friend, i mocked it up and laughed at the girdled bolts. im gonna be pulling it off and machining it down. what did everyone use, die grind it? mill it ?

i was thinkin about using a ball nose cutter and doing it on its side, i dont think i have an extension that long!!
