:woot: Dear fellow friends of the neighborhood,
I'm happy to invite anyone and everyone who would enjoy a glorified weekend of camping, lobster, sand dunes, campfires, BBQ, surf, party, quads, dirt bikes, off road, jet ski, fireworks and fun to Mexico. Welcome to the official home of the Mex Rager. Anyone and everyone is always welcome.
WHO: Anyone who would enjoy the above mentioned
WHAT: Mexico Trip in June
WHEN: June 21-25 (Depart Thursday afternoon / Return Sunday or Monday)
WHERE: Cantamar Mexico (35 Miles from US)
HOW: Carpool, Drive, You can figure this out
BACKGROUND:
THE 'Mex Rager' has been taking place in Mexico after the World Finals in Havasu for 11 years now... It was a place where racers could unwind after a season of national and world jet ski competition. But since the racing has lagged in the US why not go in June???
INFO:
There is camping on the beach (not many "if any" hotels, motels or dives close by) plenty of parking. Bring a tote or a friend who has one to launch the jet skis, toilet paper (no bathrooms only a couple trees) Quads to rent in the dunes 1/2 mile north, shops to shop in a few miles north..
Mex Rager is located at Cantamar beach (about 35 miles into Mexico)
*Bring plenty of water, liquor, food, liquor, firewood, beer for your neighbor.
*This campsite is VERY primitive – there are NO showers or facilities for at least a mile or two.
*Make sure you bring your registration for ALL vehicles – cash for dinner Sat nite , toll roads, camping fee (varies per year – usually $10 - $60 for the weekend) & to bail your drunk friends outta jail….or talk your way out of it!!
*It would be a good idea to group up when entering and leaving Mexico, only because crossing the border is slow and might as well play jokes the whole way back!!
DIRECTIONS:
-From US Hwy 5 South cross to Tijuana –
-Take Rosarito-Ensenada toll road (cuota)
-Head for the ocean and the toll road
-PASS Rosarito Beach
-Cross toll gates
-Exit at Cantamar Beach.
-Turn LEFT (south / parallel with Toll Road) continue past sand dunes and just
over bridge (lagoon) take 1st driveway to Cantamar Beach.
-Pay toll at house. (Someone usually puts up a banner/sign)
-You will pay 2 tolls and are about an hour or so into Mexico.
This 'event' may find 6 people on the beach or maybe 60 you never know, Plan ahead this is a really fun place.
