Just for fun. Write short crappy reviews of jetskis you've owned or rode.

300sx: Requires an entire weekend to plane out, but fun by sunday evening. Could use storage space for sandwiches and a beverage. Slightly embarrassed the kids in a paddle boat overtook and passed me while revving through the midrange on saturday.

701 Waverunner: Great reminder of why you still have netflix. Excellent organ donors.

440/550: Really fun that summer of 97' when Uncle Ed got it to run for 20 minutes. Excellent barn decor.

650 superjet: Experience a jet ski plane out comically fast to go hilariously slow.

701 SN: The microscopic center of a venn diagram where cheap, fast, and reliable is somewhat possible. Built in security system. Extremely unattractive plastic shell that requires 7 division 1 linebackers or a forklift to move without water.

RN superjet: You want HOW MUCH for it?

Watercraft Factory Vision: .................yes.

WDK Rip: Instructions unclear, throttle makes nose go upwards, not forward.....how do I get on this thing again?

Rickter Edge: This is way to classy a superjet for a hillbilly like me. I need to head back to shore before the coast guard starts shooting at me.

Will have to come back to this.

87 X2
89 550 (POS)
91 550SX Probably one of my favorites
97 Superjet (Bought new in 99) Yes. Dealers still had them new in the crate, the one where I got this one, we went back the next year and my buddy bought the other they had when I bought mine!!!!!!! He paid around 4K for it I believe.
2000 SJ (Painted and Build by Wamiltons in 2000 for Pat Bogart. It was his first Freestyle Ski........... Bought in 96 and Kept until 2016 (Wish I still had it!)
Superfreak Badass....... Learned a whole lot about building a ski from scratch......... Fun ski, But just too damn light for me!!!!!!!!
2018 Edge........ Great Hull. Handles the surf incredible! Super forgiving in the waves especially when they are breaking on you!!!!! Flat Water - It is alot of fun.......
But, like most AM hulls, not the greatest for long distance riding or trying to chase boats that are moving too fast....
Future - Could easily go back to a newer SJ (2016-2021) and be just as happy. Honestly, I think I could ride the SJ better than the Edge in most cases. I know if setup with lowered hood, pole back and AM Pole I could flat water roll it better!!!!!!!!

Any ski without enough power would be crappy. I can enjoy any Kawasaki or Superjet as long as they can go around 50mph. The FX1 is strangely popular despite its horrible pump. Aftermarket hulls are often short, slippery, and throw a lot of water spray in my face. Except for the ROC, its just short.

Wetbike, how the hell do people ride these damn things ?

Thunderjet, why is there zero bottom end on this thing, oh there it goes at about 7000 RPM

waveraider any size , wait was that a crosswake, what happened , where did the ski go ?

750sx , I thought these things were supposed to be fast, my 300SX will outrun this pig

Dave Gorden world finals 550 , why does this thing torque so hard to one side, is there some kind of spring on this thing , when I let off the gas it pitches me off, Dave Gordon was one hell of a man if he stayed on this wide open and shot bouys.

XFT with Jetwerks ADA stroker motor , wait I wasn't ready, can I get a do over , dayum this thing is a rocketship.

Seadoo 787 GSX- The dodge of jetskis. Looks good, goes good when it runs. Usually doesn't.
Waveraider 701- The chevy tahoe of sitdowns. Does literally everything, but just ok.
Waveblaster 1 with all the mods- the closest thing to a watercycle you'll ever experience. MotoGP of the lake.
Kawi 650sx: where standups start to be something close to ok. At least they are easy to learn on.
SN superjet: your first taste of real happiness
RN superjet: clouds part, heavens shine down, angels sing to you.
rickter with 900pv motor- f this noise I'm not man enough.

Trendsetters Steve bought 2 wdk rokr hulls and built one with the pos wdk 1200 motor. Nobody could ride it or get on plane since it had the shortest rideplate made. It took every grunion of my muscle to get up on that pos but it did off idle flip. Pretty sure there is a vid of that on here from about 10 years ago. It rode better with the long plate. It was fun to huck until the paint job peeled off

I got a funny wdk story, nothing to do with me... but kinda. Years and years ago I almost followed a girl to nashville. I'd go to see her a few times a month. a days flight on a 737. I knew of the 615 crew from here. so I reached out to sjrider...what the ef is his screen name? Anyways he hits me back up right away. and the next thing I know my ex gf (girlfriend at the time) is dropping me off and within an hour I'm hanging out with literally @TOBY at his house pretending I know wtf I'm talking about. Literally the nicest people ever. And I am just some douchebag. But anyways, to my point. I hear "yeah I don't buy poop from jeff unless I get it first" and "yeah jeff said he figured out how short is too short when he made the RIP"

I literally got to watch and listen to freakin TOBY explain how to make a T1. And I was some dumb ass idiotic 25 year old at the time. Explained rocker theory to me while casually making customer parts and sipping a light beer.

Learned on my 93 SN, had fun but far from stock any more

Next was a wave jammer, barely get out of its own way but would slide a mile, lasted a bit before it went down the road

440, 3 weeks before it was gone

Rode a post 08, still want one

Waveraider, bucked me once and she turned into a doner for the SN

SXR 1500, left a lot to be desired

50 cal, not impressed

Revolver with 900, fun but not enough ride time to figure it out

My edge, never going anywhere

My SXR, would trade for a post 08

Older Kammander with an 1100, had a blast, fun bike

Bullet Hydro-Doo - Handled like a Top Fuel Dragster -Really good in a straight line!
750 SX, 750 SXI, 750 SXI PRO - The name kept getting longer, but for some reason they wouldn't make the hull any wider. Not only did they look like a dolphin, they rode like one too - skipping across the top of the water and rolling over every chance they get.
SXR 1500 - Go ahead and slap a Bud Light graphics kit on there, bud.
Waveblaster - Doesn't do anything good. "Like a motorcycle on water" WTF kind of motorcycles do you ride?
Anything with a triple in it (besides a waveblaster) - The pinnacle of Jet Ski Racing - faster than the hull can handle, faster than the rider could handle, louder than all hell, racers would get tired and yardsale all over the place.

1985 JS550 - First Ski, I'm hooked for life. Dual carbs, Ocean Pro head, bored to 580, PJS Water box, Kerker exhaust, and a 440 pump with aluminum driveshaft. I raced Vintage in 2005, they put us with the Stock 800 Class to fill the course(only 2 vintage skis lol). Needless to say they let the line snap and I took the holeshot through the first turn and didn't get passed by an SXR until turn 2! It was that fast.

650SX - Engine has torque, Ski zero character...give me back my 550.

2011 SXR - My dream ski. Bought it new in 2012 and never looked back. Slowly modded it through the years. I wore out the first engine, my estimates put the hours over 1200 on that first engine. Built a second OEM parts engine and still going strong. Most folks don't like riding it....I have it so loose it will buck off people who can't shred. All around great ski.

300SX - This thing is so much fun, you actually need to know how to ski. Let's get 5 and have a spec racing class!

WaveBlaster - So you think you're riding a standup? Still a sitdown....

1200 v2 Bullet Race ski - Wow just wow, light switch speed that'll make your tongue hang out. Mostly just fun to point and pull, not much carving going on....not for me.

Superfreak 1200 - I need to start wearing a helmet this thing is a spring board! I was just happy to ride in circles and jump around on it. NO flippy flips.

SquareNose - I don't get it, this thing turns flat. 650 were gutless and the 701s might as well just been a round nose with all the mod to make them handle. Wet foam!

RoundNose - They look cool and are nimble, just a square nose with a new top. Wet foam!

Roundnose 2008+ - You can actually lean and carve on these things, too bad they're gutless compared to an 800 SXR..... Wet foam!

1500 SXR - Freight Train. All around.

2021 SJ - Slower than a Stock SXR 800 and handles worse than 650sx...how?

650sx flat deck with tubbies, dance floor for a tray, superlight, nobody else but me and my son have ever been seen riding it back to shore, many have tried and failed, damn near impossible to reboard in deep water at the end of the day

86 550 piston port motor, don't know it never ran and was impossible to start after sitting for over five minutes

78 JS 440, first ski. I brought it home in, Boxes of parts, it filled up the bed of my 70 model GMC pickup, craziest porting I have ever seen, overbored with Kawi H2 motorcycle pistons in it, sleeves were cut from the transfer port down to the bottom of the sleeve, ran really well for a 440, good enough to sell and finance my 550 reed motor ski anyway
