Just for fun. Write short crappy reviews of jetskis you've owned or rode.

100% without question I have no doubt Krash tried as hard as they could to become an OEM in an industry left for dead, where kawi, yami, and scott watkins no longer cares. But without the ef you money to fall back on you get one shot and it did not work. Meanwhile yamaha can get money from their freakin Piano department if needed, and they still screwed up the 4 stroke superjet. too big and heavy to play, yet still 10mph slower than kawis offering of patio furniture.

Ill never understand the FX1. You have made the superjet for years at this point, everyone likes it. You want to copy a 550 and decide you're going to make some one off extremely crappy pump for it, but everything else is a superjet with a 550 style bottom deck.
Be a good podcast to hear the how they came up with the superjet, jammer, and fx1 and why they did what they did.

It was designed in 1991 when the 550 was king. Then it got held back to push the blaster out first. When the FX! arrived in 1993, 550s were a thing of the past. The 550 bubble popped for everyone. Now they are being raced again, just without (new) aftermarket support.

What is Krash current status? Not trying to poke a jab at you or anything, stuff happens and I was hoping they would have produced a good product, but I remember you being a fairly big proponent of the RTP Krash skis & frankly I haven't heard a good story about the engines since they debuted. Are they still trying?
Like Quinc said. It's a hard meh at best unless you get one from Steve Bach and he fixes everything before you get it. Steve is legit though. Great guy.

The pump still doesnt make sense. Yamaha made the 6m6 a motor that cannot die, made it bigger and better, nailed the pump first try then make a 550 with some random 140mm pump and the only color is purple. Drugs?

Actually it's worse than that, the pump size is 122 mm , in comparison a Waverunner 500 has a 133 MM jet pump , I believe the Jet n cat and Jet n spray used up most of the 6m6 engines and 500 -650LX jet pumps, some if those boats came with 133 pumps and later models used the 144 pumps, the ones with 133 pumps were slow a$$ turds. A lot of Boston whales also came with Yamaha engines and pump as did the UFO Saucer ski.

1985 JS550 - First Ski, I'm hooked for life. Dual carbs, Ocean Pro head, bored to 580, PJS Water box, Kerker exhaust, and a 440 pump with aluminum driveshaft. I raced Vintage in 2005, they put us with the Stock 800 Class to fill the course(only 2 vintage skis lol). Needless to say they let the line snap and I took the holeshot through the first turn and didn't get passed by an SXR until turn 2! It was that fast.

650SX - Engine has torque, Ski zero character...give me back my 550.

2011 SXR - My dream ski. Bought it new in 2012 and never looked back. Slowly modded it through the years. I wore out the first engine, my estimates put the hours over 1200 on that first engine. Built a second OEM parts engine and still going strong. Most folks don't like riding it....I have it so loose it will buck off people who can't shred. All around great ski.

300SX - This thing is so much fun, you actually need to know how to ski. Let's get 5 and have a spec racing class!

WaveBlaster - So you think you're riding a standup? Still a sitdown....

1200 v2 Bullet Race ski - Wow just wow, light switch speed that'll make your tongue hang out. Mostly just fun to point and pull, not much carving going on....not for me.

Superfreak 1200 - I need to start wearing a helmet this thing is a spring board! I was just happy to ride in circles and jump around on it. NO flippy flips.

SquareNose - I don't get it, this thing turns flat. 650 were gutless and the 701s might as well just been a round nose with all the mod to make them handle. Wet foam!

RoundNose - They look cool and are nimble, just a square nose with a new top. Wet foam!

Roundnose 2008+ - You can actually lean and carve on these things, too bad they're gutless compared to an 800 SXR..... Wet foam!

1500 SXR - Freight Train. All around.

2021 SJ - Slower than a Stock SXR 800 and handles worse than 650sx...how?

Put me down as also in favor of a spec 300 racing class.

Wavejammer 500 pump was mixed flow like a 550. Tapered impeller & housing. Fx1 122mm pump is axial flow.

I never owned one,. I just remember someone saying they had parts left over, so they made the FX1

The little 122mm pump actually works pretty good on a bone stock ski, put anything with some power in the ski and it lacks badly, the FX1 with the 144 conversion is a really nice setup.

A little mismatched, Yamaha used an 8000rpm pump behind a 6000rpm engine. When you add impeller pitch to soak up the torque it cavitates horribly at low speeds.
