Just in time for Daytona...

2 long nights and tons of mountain dew later, about 95% there... still need to actually start it up though! new handlebars will be here Monday.

finished installing the drive train i built for Daytona last night... nothing like waiting until the last minute. not as clean as i would have liked but function over form at this point (just needs to last 2 days of Daytona!).

-718CC 61x motor (82MM bore, new crank/pistons/sleeves/bore/hone)
-ADA girdled head, 31CC domes (shooting for ~200PSI or more)
-Mikuni 46MM carb
-Factory B Pipe (headpipe and manifold bored to 48MM)
-Riva CDI
-Stock pump/Skat prop

i had to use the resonator chamber from my powerfactor exhaust system because of the diameter of the pipe that goes through the hull and out the back... (made due with what i had to work with...) the stock long exhaust tube is not nearly big enough in diameter. right now i am not using the pisser on the chamber, just capped it off (i will route water here if it is to loud).

nothing crazy but should be a nice surf setup... or should i have just thrown the 1000CC in...

cya in Daytona!

we'll be down there on Friday morning/afternoon to get some flatwater ride time and make sure it actually runs in the water.

looks nice and extra blingy!

little bit of show, hopefully will produce some go! :fingersx:

looking forward to seeing your Superfreak 'ski!

Awesome! I can't wait to see one of these completed in person. I think I've only seen a bare hull. Very nice.

good lord - all that bling, and a crappy stock battery box

i recommend a call to Brian at Thrust Innovations...stat!

haha, good point... stock battery boxes have served me well and i have a few sitting here.

this setup does not look anywhere near impressive as my XS846 setup did (now sold):

very very nice!

good idea.....you dont want to learn 1000cc's in the surf..

true... especially have not ridden in a few months (except like 10 minutes at the World Finals).

You have a great powerdercoater! I had some work done on my bike and it turned out good, but not as smooth as that. Did he keep all the mating surfaces clean or did you have to clean them up?

they do great work - local shop to (bonus)!

when they did the motor, they put all the pieces together and did it all at the same time, then used a razor blade to cut the cases/cylinder apart.

the only matting surface i don't know how they did was the stator area...
