Hey everyone new to the board here as far as posting. Ive been lurking around for about a year now secretly gathering your ideas in hope to build a pretty sick boat.
Im a budget guy cant afford a 10k ski nore could i ever use it to its full potential.
Started riding a 550 kawi when i was 10 moved to a 04 rn sj when i was 12 then started racing moto.
Older now traveling alot for work looking to get back into the swing of things.
Long story short after a few months of hunting picked up this sn sj tonight for what i feel was a good price.
1500$ seems to be solid has a few mods i can visually see but could use some help identifieing other things.
Its a 94 hull with a 701 62t engine. alum pole 4* bars has some sort of ride plate and a top loader unknown if the prop is stock or not. maybe somebody on here will know the ski. It has dual carbs but idk with there 38s or 44s or wth they are. Any help would be great. Going to lake test it in the afternoon waters just starting to get warm enough.. Enjoy a few pictures. going to start a freestyle build here shortly nothing crazy just widing the tray trimming down the sides different foot holds then whats in it now shorter pole and rebuild the engine.

welcome! nice ski. what I'm having a hard time accepting is you live in florida and the waters too cold? its 9* here in Ct as I type this and we have a couple feet of snow on the ground. I'd give my left nut to be riding in the sunshine state right now! Used to spend my winters in Key Largo but having two kids changed that! only 13 years to wait till there outta school and I will be bumping off the Bull sharks in the ICW.......maybe

First of all welcome back to the sport and it looks like a nice ski. The price is right on as well. If it were me I would enjoy it like it is this year and start the build at the end of the season so your not working on it while everyone else is riding. You do have stock 38mm carbs but if you are going to be trying freestyle stuff than I would get a stock flame arrestor which will keep the water out a lot better than what you have now. 38mm carbs have 3 bolt holes on the top. 44mm and 46mm carbs are a 4 bolt pattern. From what I can tell from the pic, it looks like you have a Ocean Pro Rideplate. Most ride plates will have the make stamped in it somewhere. That plate is more for carving so I would go with a stock Rideplate which is much better for what you want to do. Chances are the prop is aftermarket as well but it is very hard to tell what pitch it is with it installed. If you post a pic of the intake we can probably tell you more about that.

It's 170 on a compression test. I bought another hull and engine as well that is going to be used for my build. This ski has been mistreated by the previous owner just rigging stuff up and not really knowing what he was doing. So I'm slowly trying to get it all sorted out so I can enjoy this season on it and get back confortable riding again then build my other hull up in the mean time and have it ready for next year. Just can't justify buying a full custom hull just yet. Thanks guys
