Just picked up a 750sx, have a bunch of questions.

Picked up a 750 with a broken hand pole. Working on sourcing one right now. Seems like an easy enough fix. Most people run -3 poles correct?

It also has a factory pipe SBN46 carb and a few other bits and pieces. I rigged the pole to take it for a test ride yesterday and the ski was very powerful on the top end and kinda boggy on the bottom end, pipe screws(which are seized are about 1/4" of threads showing on the top and bottom and the middle is flush. What is the ideal setting for low end power? Figure i would start there before messing with the carb.

how can you tell the difference between the MOD pipe and the limited pipe.

Do any of the AM water boxes sound good or are they a waste of money?

Ive seen posts about the timing advance kit, but where can i get one. Also is it compatible with the MSD enhancer ignition i plan on adding down the road.

What things can i do to lighten this thing. the back seems really heavy, as well as the nose. I drilled holes on the back for hull drains and no water came out of the left side but not sure how the right side is constructed as it seemed to be solid fiberglass. I plan on cutting the tray open this winter and re foaming and sealing everything adding foot holds and re turfing. i will patch up those hole then.

I'm sure i will have more, thats all i can think of right now. thanks for the help guys

Limited pipe has the exit on the bottom center of the chamber and goes to the water box. The mod pipe exits out the end of the camber then to a resonator on the carb side then out the back of the ski.

Ordered a pole, and a bunch of parts from jet maniac to get the pipe tuned and correctly installed.

Now i just need to figure out how to lighten this batboy up a bit.

Check the right side of the fuel tank along the inside of the hull. One year they put a couple of 3" square lead weights there to counter weight the pipe. That's worth a few pounds out of the nose.
