just rebuilt carb and won't start BN44

it's been since 92 the last time they used it. went i picked it up i went and ordered a rebuilt kit and did it , put it back and nothing, starts if i dump mix in it, am getting fuel to it, but it just wont run. anyone have any ideas? checked the needles and seem fine, just don't understand how it lifts the needle when there is no clip attatched to the arm like a super bn

thanks

if i did have the lines wrong, (which is what i think) why would i get the fuel pumped

there is three lines in, return, and the other runs to the intake manifold.

if you look at the carb from the front where the 6 bolts are. I have the spout on the very front, one on the left in the rear of the carb and another in the middle of the pump,( spout on the right) how should i connect them?

thanks

Hold your hand over the top of the carb throat and crank the engine. This forces suction through the fuel curcuits, effectively 'choking' the engine.

I find that I have to do this if I've had carbs apart for any reason.
