Karavan rebuild bunk bracket, pivot or support?

my cheap rebuild has turned into a full overhaul. Which is fine, it get into something and can't stop. Any suggestions on bunks? I'd like to do away with the bunk support and zinc pivot bracket. My goal wold be less hardware to keep it light and lower to the frame. In my mind. 2x4 to the frame would be ideal. Do they make something like that? Looking to go a little more modern. Anyone had luck with pvc?

What are the white strips called?

Search "bunk enders" and "bunk strips" on Amazon or trailer supply sites.

I wish I had got the black ones now.. I had to put the white bunk enders to the table saw to rip them because I couldn't find them for verticals.
