kart tank straps

what's everyone using to secure the 2 gallon kart tanks? OEM gas tank straps with knots to shorten length? waterbox straps? or does someone make a strap just for kart tanks?

If I were you, maybe try making a foam base to elevate it a bit and cross the straps in a X pattern. Did that on my 550sx/650 conversion years ago and it worked well.

I hade some that was too long i cut them and strips them back together att the right length, the friction between the rubbers will help with not slipping apart.

My straps on my kart tank are 21"... 24's with a knot.

@701dave, a 20" would be perfect for a kart tank. Also PFP straps are 18".
