One should look at effort involved vs. payoff achieved.
The end result is a small, very maneuverable hull with good power.
I don't know what's involved with putting a bigger motor, bigger pump, and everything else into a 300 hull. (Terry/WFO would)
The other option is to make a hull that already has a bigger motor and bigger pump short, small and maneuverable.
Since I don't know how hard the 300 conversion would be, I obviously can't make a judgment on that.
I do know that shortening my Superjet hull involved a fair amount of tedious glass work. Nothing big or insanely difficult, but a lot of work nonetheless.
