Wondering if anybody is making/selling an adapter plate to mount a Kawi exhaust manifold on a Yamaha motor. Trying to put a 61x in my Sxi Pro and would like to use the Kawi pipe/tank/waterbox etc

Try running a Bmod or TNT/Nynja. It should line up just like a FPP 750 limited chamber would.

The Rad dudes make an adapter plate for that, but you can just buy a FPP Yamaha exhaust manifold and use the Kawasaki exhaust.

Don't the kawi and Yamaha manifolds have different offsets of the head pipes? The lord mounts might not line up. I had that issue with using my 650 manifold and fpp kawi 750 limited chamber. Not that you can't overcome that, but if you have a chamber tuned for your motor, I would try to keep all the components together.

No they have the same offset the only difference is the head pipe mounting surface is thicker on the Kawasaki`s. Otherwise you can use both head pipes and/or chambers

Thanks for the replies fellas.
Vumad you are correct. The bolt alignment between the yamaha manifold and the kawasaki head pipe do not work.
I have both kawasaki and yamaha factory pipes but want to keep most of the kawasaki setup (tank, waterbox, etc) and swap in a yamaha motor with the rhaas conversion plates.
X2stroker... the adapter plate that rad dudes sells is to go the other way. Yamaha pipe on a Kawasaki motor. Im looking to mate a kawasaki pipe on a yamaha motor.

again i appreciate the feedback... unfortunately if you look at the rad dudes conversion plate closer you will see that it is to allow a yamaha based pipe to be mounted to a kawasaki based motor. I want to do the reverse... put a kawi pipe on a yamaha motor.

Your best bet is going to be Rhaas, last time I inquired (last year) he said he was still working on it. I have a vintage one here, not sure who its made by but I think it is to corroded to use.

Try mocking up your pipes using a Yamaha manifold and head pipe and a kawi 750 limited chamber.

I still think that there is a good chance the wb1 mod chamber that is center bleed will bolt right to your motor easy and clearance all of your kawi parts. I believe in keeping motors with the pipes designed to go with them. Mixing and matching has been a hassle with my x2.

Did you ever find one of these plates? Looking to put a kawi 650 pipe on a 701 in a 550 hull. Lol!

Rad dudes sold all 24 that they made and don't plan on making them again.

It is a weird part that only helps if you have other free or cheap parts to offset buying a $4-700 pipe for a silly 550 project.
