Kawasaki hull

How can you tell what hall I would have ?
My motor mounts are the green (for a big pin 750 ) but I'm sure my motor has bin changed to a small pin , the guy claimed it was a 1999 sxi pro but the inside of the hull is all white , I'm thinking it's an sxi not a ski pro , also my vin doesn't seem right for the hull , the last digits are the year correct ? The tank is a 5 gallon as well not sure if this helps

Big pin vs small pin , count the amount of bolts in the intake manifold , I cannot remember the abound but one has more than the other I have a bp out in garage , envy time I'm out there I'll count them
Jason

The big pin has 12 intake bolts, small is 10 , I have a small pin , it's silver and my mounts are green , how would I tell if it's an sx or sxi? Sxi pro would have red fiberglass on the inside correct ?

It's bin registered with that vin and titled as a 99 sxi pro wich I believe it's only a 96 + sxi have the hin # as well , does anyone know if you can insure them or need to ?

Pros are only hand laid glass on the bottom, everything else is SMC. Its hard to see in the motor pic, but based on the outside and how the front is shaped I think its a SX, or SXi. A better pic of the inside would help, also a pic of the bottom. Take a few closer pics of the motor. There are numbers stamped on the intake side, I can tell you what cylinder you have.

The motor # is a 750be011109 also has the dual mikuni carbs ,the bottom is all flat up to the pump ,its little banged up and only painted on the bottom , hoping to fix all that and get it re finished

Yep, its definitely a SX or SXi, they are the same. The marking we are looking for on the motor is a stamp in a circle. It will be a number like 22 or 29 or something similar.

The number specifies the cylinder type, there are several different port configurations 750 cylinders have. The 22 is a from a sitdown. Kind of a middle of the road porting. SXI would have had a 24 or 29 casting which has higher port timings and therefore more top end.

Anyway to tell if the bottom end would be from a sx or sxi ? Or are the cases matched to the cylinders ? Also what would my carbs be from ? There twin mikunis ? It's seems to me my 750 has a mix of diferant year parts in it, Would it be worth it to find a later aqua green or early silver big pin ? What number should I look for if I'm to get one ? Also would my pipe , head ,vforce reeds and oil pump delete bolt on direct ? Or should I just look for a sxr 800 or a sxi pro 750 ?

For carbs you have dual SBN44s or 46s. Only way to tell is to measure the venturi. You can mix and match SP cylinders on BP bottom ends with a little work to the bottom of the sleeves. Take a look at the intake on the crankcase, if it has 12 studs its big pin, if it has 10 its small pin. The only thing to watch out for with this method is that early intake manifolds only had 10 holes for the studs, you can use these manifolds on BP cases if you remove the center two studs. You can also pull the cylinder and measure the piston pin, that will tell you for sure. For heads, there are also a number for castings. All interchangeable but each has different volume domes. Since you have a R&D head, to find out the dome size you will have to pull the head and take one of the domes out, the size should be stamped in on the back side of it. All of the parts you have will work on any 750. Depending on the dome size in the head, you may gain or lose compression based on the cylinder porting. If you want the parts to be a true SXI, you will want a BP bottom end (color doesn't matter they come with both), 24 or 29 Cylinder (again, came in both colors), and a head with 25cc-27cc domes. Stock head would have been a C casting with the 24 cylinder and a D casting with the 29 cylinder. Another thing to check is the CDI in your ebox. The SXi's came with a hotter iginition curve than the SXs.

Depending on the kind of riding you do, you may want to keep the cylinder you have. It will have a little better bottom end than a SXi cylinder but sacrifices top end. That pipe and carbs will lean themselves more to the top end of the spectrum. So that setup will be better for carving, riding bouys, or just cruising around than it will be for jumping waves and that sort of thing.
