I have a 92 superjet and the kill switch where the lanyard goes stays up sometimes and does not shut the ski off. I have oiled it and talked it apart but when I put it back together it does not always go back down.
I do not think it is the oem oneIf that is the original switch, order a new OEM on or a good condition used one...........
Replace it.I do not think it is the oem one
They can be stubborn. Instead of talking to it take it apart yourself. Youre better off used oem anyways. That and a low idle.I have oiled it and talked it apart

I run a ziptie and almost no idle so even if something fails it dies.
I've almost straight up drowned in the surf dude. I ditched a built round nose to poseidon. To save my own life. I've rode 25ft waves at crescent city. I still run a lanyard. It's common sense man. I can't say I haven't ever ran a zip tie. But we are all young and dumb at one time.Ride 6 footers 3 to 4 seconds apart and tell me how fun getting that lanyard on is. Ill wait.
watching your ski leave you.
Hey I’m in this one!spend more time wrenching and talking about their skis than actually riding.
6 ft isn't big water. 8 ft isn't big water. It doesn't matter if it's 30ft waves. Your taking others safety into your hands.
The most Ignorant part of the entire post is admitting to a lanyard breaking, and watching your ski leave you. Imagine if your throttle stuck and your ski left your ass in the ocean. But that could never happen. O wait. It has at a very well known freeride and almost smashed a guys ski on shore.
Do what you want. If I see dumbasses with no lanyard I call em on it and won't ride with em. Those guys usually have primers though and spend more time wrenching and talking about their skis than actually riding.
