SX/SXi/SXi Pro Kill switch tether options SX650

In tennessee all jetskis must have a tether type kill switch. if youre caught without one its a $565 fine. I just bought an 89 SX650 and I see no easy methods to add a tether (like the sx750) What would be my best option? Aside from using some dorky universal thing mounted elsewhere.
