Has anyone ever mounted the start/stop switch into the dash in place of the primer? There isnt much room behind the dash but maybe someone could give me ideas? Any input is appreciated

just mounted one on the bars of my 94 sx ......you could mount it on the dash if you really want to but you might need a longer lanyard probobly will get tangeled up. There is a 4 prong connector that connects to the bar switch by the dash if you need pics of it let me know...

Well i dont have a lanyard and I dont think it would be too big of an issue to start it from the dash. Does anybody know of any lower profile switches i could use?

See i think it seems dumb to have the primer hole empty, so i thought why not throw the start/stop switch in there and clear up the bars

Get a bilge pump and throw a bilge switch in there instead. :smokin:

X2, Bilge on one side, primer on the other. And get a lanyard style switch, It will save your ski and possibly someones life. I have fallen off and had the throttle stick before. You really dont want to be responsible for a 300lb rocket skipping across the lake. It happens easier than you would think

do you know of any sites that have replaceable switch with the lanyard? i've got a 95 750sx but still has the stock switch and would like to get a lanyard one if they are easy enough to change.

I have a bilge switch mounted onto the bottom of the start/stop switch so i would just do both. I ment i have an independent lanyard switch on the opposite side of the bars.

If ya mount it in the dash, ya could always hook the lanyard to your ankle:) I personally would keep it on the hanldebars for muscle memory with the kill switch IMO...

I think what kawikid is trying to say is he has a SS and then a single lanyard kill switch . He wants to move the SS to the dash and keep the lanyard on the bars.

Just open your stop start switch there should be two pods in it one is start one stop just move the start pod to the hole . It is a lil bigger but not much.
Just seams counter intuitive because you have to hold the bars with one hand to start in stead of both. The switches are within thumb reach for a reason
