Was wondering if anyone has installed the Klowners on their ski, and what they thought of them. will begin installing my Klowners in the next week or two.

I installed them in my ski. I like them so far. I did have to cut and reglass the exhaust side hold so it would clear the exhaust tube.

I really like the forward extensions on them. If I ever get to it I'll cut the tray sides even more to extend the holds further forward. I would also round out the top of the forward extensions as well. The extra clearance is great for my feet.

I also added a couple of layers of carbon cloth and some foot straps on the bottom of the tray as well.

I don't know what to rate it. I had a very experienced helper who has footholed a fair number of skis. I didn't think the install was very hard. I could have done it by myself but it wouldn't have gone as fast and I probably would have made a mistake that would need to get repaired.

The hardest part is getting up the nerve to cut your new ski apart!

If your handy with fiberglass then it shouldn't be much of a problem. If your not handy with fiberglass work it would probably be hard. Get yourself a partner who has done footwells before and it shouldn't be difficult. Or get the ski to someone who can install them for you.

i did not realize how huge those suckers were. holey shat bigfoot.

give blowsion a call, tell them you haven't installed footholds before and they will give you some pretty good tips. Also they may mail you a templet for cutting into the gunwales.

The actual place to put your foot isn't that big. They are just long. It gives you a lot more room in the tray. I want to extend them almost all the way to the front of the tray.
