Freestyle KP Pole or Xscream SJ

Building up the Superjet which already has a bunch of stuff. The 15yr old AC racing pole is about to give up the ghost. I want a pole that will also work on the next hull which will be a freestyle hull. I also don’t want to spend more than a grand because that money could be better spent on the next hull or pump. So I’ve pretty much narrowed it to the Xscream pole and steering vs the KP pole and OVP bearing steering.

Anyone have experience with both? The Xscream pole won’t go “competition” length unless I buy that one. The KP is a bit on the chunky unfinished side of billet poles. They’re both around the same price with steering and chin pads and brackets.

Any extra advice before pulling the trigger is greatly appreciated.

For a superjet, both are great, no wrong answer, they are both adjustable, relatively inexpensive and look great (just two different looks). I'd say it really comes down to how you want your ski to look. The bonus on the KP is it is infinitely adjustable therefore can transfer to any hull, the Xscream will have to stay on a Superjet or SXR to be effective. The xscream is a bit easier to adjust, especially while assembled, the KP has the ability to breath. Pick which one you like the looks of more, or flip a coin.

I have the KP pole and while it has not been used yet, the fit and finish on everything was great. I have their bracket, pole bolt, and OVP bearing steering and its all top notch, if a bit heavy. Shipping to Michigan was 7 days also, which was very fast in my eyes.

I have 2 KP poles. One on my 650 and one on my BOB. No complaints whatsoever on the build quality or anything else for the price. Would definitely buy another if I needed to.
