Heres how i did mine. It fits real snuggly now. Doesnt move at all. I Cut the front half off the mounts and removed the front inner battery mount. I glues 1in under padding to the ribs to pad the tank sides and turf on the belly.

What really sucks and what I don't get is, even though it is an "aftermarket hull", aren't all the same models from the same mold? So how come some people have Waterbox issues, some people can't get the pump shoe in/aligned, some people have to use two different size motor mounts and then still ream bigger holes in their bed plates to get the bolts to be able to fit into the motor mounts,etc..?
Are there that many different types of running gear people use?
I owned a mass produced kawi but I've been considering an AM Hull, and now I'm leaning toward going with one already built/turn key.

The hulls are setup to use Oem Sj tanks and running gear. With the am tanks some manipulation is needed. The hulls use an aluminum bed plate which is where a lot of the early issues came from, who ever was setting them up in Thailand must have been eyeballing a bit too much which has since been fixed. My plates were ok, others not so much. Also many like to use yami couch style mounts because they're stronger and easier to get but they are bigger and taller than Sj mounts. So the answer is yes, there is that much variable in parts. i have a feeling the "starter kit" will be phased out in favor of the rtr skis build and assembled under nicks supervision. It's already not offered on krash so website
gotcha. yea i've asked someone recently if there was an option to buy a rtr brand new krash from them directly or from a place like blowsion, and at that time, I was told you'd have to buy one from an individual who does full builds then sells them.
I guess half the "fun" with AM hulls is building it yourself...but I can see where the "fun" can get frustrating at times.

pretty much same weight as the stock setup with their offset plate but i dont care so much about weight as much as sucking water in !

How in the heck did you get the pole spring to work? Can you post better photos of that?

Lol they're all a real pain. If you got the same spring I did...it needs to be cut to fit. There is a cupped post on the bracket that it rests into and a hole in the lower pole section it slides into. Cut and check or text Chris and ask how to fit it. If yours is already correct it's really just a huge PITA like all HD pole springs are...just don't pry or hammer anything, the pole bolt threads into the bracket!

Correct, it works. Just takes time. Idk if it's possible without someone else helping you hold the pole
