Krash 701 Conversion Thread?

Does anyone have a detailed thread on converting a RTR KV based Krash hull to a 701? I understand it’s not a difficult swap but curious to see what is out there.
 
You will have to drill and sert the bed plates to bolt down the 701 based engine. The mounts won’t line up with the kv mount holes. Also I went with the Yamaha mid shaft and pump on mine but I think it’ll work with the KV mid shaft also. You will need some sort of bracket to mount your e box to the rear fire wall, I used one from a wetjet kraze . The water box works well with a mod b pipe , limited is too long. I had to use the Krash fuel tank because of the battery location . I’m probably going to move my battery and run a Super Jet style tank soon, I don’t like the Krash tank much. I think that’s about everything I can think of.
 
Brad's got you on the right track. I made new motor mount adapter plates and E-box bracket. Don't center the e-box, cheat it to the carb side or you won't have room for your B headpipe. I ran a mod chamber with the krash waterbox, then switch to the Krash chamber. It fits and works well. I'm running the KV pump, driveshaft, midshaft, trim, pole/steering, tank, chamber and waterbox. Had Impros re-pitch the prop for a ported JM/Blue 735.
There's a guy on the FB page that offered prints for bedplates.
 
I hope my answer didn't come off as rude, I was under the impression it was a direct swap. Brad made a good point about the motor mount plates, mine accepted couch mounts without modification but maybe some of the newer hulls used a different spacing for the mounts. Also, Okoblowji is correct with the mounting for the e-box. You want to set it off center towards the carb side in order to clear a B-pipe. My hull just uses SJ e-box mounts bolted through the front foothold. Bolts are a pain to reach under the foothold but you shouldn't need to fool with them often.

These are my e-box mounts to give you a reference... Those were drilled out by the PO and I have since installed normal SJ mounts with the studs attached. Works much better than trying to hold the nut on the backside of those old ones haha

Sweet! What hull is this in?

Did you have to retune when you swapped over to the krash chamber? Thinking of using the krash chamber but didn’t know if I needed alternative parts vs. a b pipe
