My quick summary, Hull looks awesome, clear coat sucks. Pump design is great, pump execution not so much. (Ive stripped the helicoils 3 times already) Handle pole and bars great, throttle/trim lever feels like they're made in China. Waterbox and silicone hoses are also great quality, but the ruber straps are losing their stretch. Trim design looks good in theory, reality the cable stretches wayyy to much (with the cable tightened and trim engaged I can push the nozzle down with 1 finger)

Overall its an awesome Hull that would be perfect if a few details were improved upon. For me anyway, your mileage may vary.

I just got mine and I must say I am really liking what I am seeing so far! Is everything machined billet ? NO. I almost have it completed and will be hitting the water soon. Unless I have major problems over the next few months I will consider this to be a really sweet deal.

It was only off a couple off weeks and well with-n an acceptable range. I do agree that Communication with shipping times is of the upmost importance. No reason not to keep your customers fully informed of what's going on. Chris responded quickly to every text I sent and answered all my good/stupid question. No scratches on mine so far. I plan on putting a clear wrap on it pretty soon. I went to Cape May NJ myself and met with Chris to pick up my ski so shipping was only from Thailand to Chris.

I don't care how much you paid for it how many hours it has and where it came from. This is not 500 Brinnel hardness and this is not normal.

Be honest now that I have a little time on mine its a little..I mean little lose. With that said I am simply going to drill the hole to fit a plastic bushing before it becomes completely gone. Probably something they should look at doing before they ship them out IMO. A 10 min $5 fix at the most if they leave it as is so no big deal either way.

Just wondering did you notice the slop? If so why didn't you fix it before it got so bad? I find it hard to believe it got that bad in one day. There again I am not taking sides either way.

It was slop since day one. I wanna ride my ski not wrench on it and it really isn't just a 5 minute fix lol. Let's be honest here. Especially since every time I pull my nozzle my stator moves because of lack of machining skills. My stator has no locating dowls so essentially every time you mess with anything the pump alignment changes.

Let us know what kind of bushing you end up using, im sure most people will want to fix this right off.

I'm going to oversize the holes on the steering nozzle and trim ring and use cutting board material to make my bushings. I'll get some sort of nylon washers or maybe make my own to shim from behind. Shouldn't be sloppy anymore.

We've used brass bushings to fix sloppy old trim, and they last longer after doing that mod, so I'm sure it would be a solid fix for your nozzle.

I assume a standard 62t or 66e nozzle won't fit?

That's kind of my point. If you find a ski you don't have to wrench on please let us all know LOL. If it where my ski and I noticed something going bad I would have taken care of the problem before it got real bad. That's just me.

To be fair to all sides I am just going to ride my 50cal and see what happens and not worry about what might happen. I just thought you were being a bit unfair when you said ( only thing left was the hull from the starter kit ) when you removed the pole steering etc without using it. Don't you still have the exhaust hose, water box, adjustable footholds, intakegrate midshaft, motor mounting plate,turf and pading in the tray and hood latches?

Footholds, padding/turf, motor mounting plate aren't part of the starter kit, they come with the hull, normally .

No the hoses and waterbox are gone. I suspect the midshaft and driveshaft are stripping. I'm changing the entire power plant right now. The hood ratchets rusted Day 2 and I replaced them. The hooks and prongs are worn out just as bad as that pump and I havd adjusted them to their max and they will need replacement too. There is nothing unfair about this at all bud. Quit posting if you don't like it. And if you build a good ski you shouldn't have to fix it all the time. But when the cheap Chinese components fall apart around it......

What a stupid rediculous thing to say btw 500 brinnell hardness is the level in a pressure scale where AR500 bullet prof plate is rated. If this pump craps out I'll shoot it with several flavors and prove that it isn't LOL

When I got the poles and the kavinci weight was double the aura alloy and I saw all the sharp edges and general unrefined finish I didn't want it. Deal with it bubba I'm sure it would have broke by now or worn out. In fact the person who has the pole has already broke 2 pole bushings (among other people in our ride group that have broke kanvinci bushings) and his steeering system comes loose all the time. My rrp steering hasn't come loose since day one

No you couldn't use any other steering nozzles for this because the pump stator so thin that the pump would not be efficient without this reduction nozzle.

I'm worried that if I used brass for the bushings that it would wear out the nozzle that's why I'm opting for the plastic route

The brass piece i used has a flange and pressed into the trim ring, so it was stainless on brass.

My steering nozel has a different bolt then yours. Unless I am missing something ( happens all the time ) you would remove these 2 bolts, disconnect your steering cable and your steering nozel would come right off. Then you would simply drill out the 2 holes to fit whatever size bushing you find then put the bushing in and install it back together.

Yeah bud can't do that on the predator or with the bolts that I have. I think I know my way around a jetski I don't know why everyone is chiming in with fixes for this nozzle. It's well under control.


Let's get back on topic here. None of us should have to do this in the first place. Clearly the metal is not up to par and the design needs a bushing from the factory. For those of you who have fresh pumps do yourself a favor and bush it up!
