Washed up last night, according to some guy on Instagram:I rode SS all weekend and we had some big surf, I am pretty sure this is the ski that they sunk. Not sure if it was recovered....maybe some westcoast surfriders can chime in with details.
Crazy! it was actually recovered! Damn lucky. yeah, all I heard was they were sending out as many drones as possible to try to find it the day it sank but to no avail.Washed up last night, according to some guy on Instagram:
"Right place at the right time!! Saw a jetski floating in the surf around sunset and thought it looked lonely with no owners in sight. Couldn't see anybody in the waves, so I waited for a few minutes and went out waist deep to pull it up on-shore. Jason helped tank it out with me. We called the local authorities and reported. Feet were numb at that point, so I ran in for a quick shower and grab my headlamp. Came back out to a call from the Coast Guard that they were going to launch a full search & rescue!! After about 20 min standing by the ski in the dark, a very excited dude ran up with a cell phone light and was more than relieved to get his baby back!! Prototype Krash Industries jetski was lost today in the heavy surf. Been looking for it all day, luckily he called off the search and no wasted resources tonight! Don't see this everyday... highlight of the evening for sure!!"
What pipe is that?
On a couple of positive notes
1. Krash figured out the industry. Lose your ski and it will return home (like a lost dog). - buy a RTR Krash for 12k and you'll never lose the ski in the surf.
2. Actually it would be great to have some understanding on how the ski faired from being waterlogged for so long. I mean the engine is probably toasted but still - its an interesting test/scenario.
3. Rather have this happen on a prototype than a production ski.
3. Need to know why it was lost/sank - Was there something wrong like with a hood seal? Was this deliberate?
