I just picked up a 2015 Krash footrocket Hull with a 701 in it (not the RTP) this fall and am rebuliding some neglected items. One, was the scupper siliconed shut by previous owner. When the hull filled up with water (cracks in breather hoses), the single bilge would do its thing, but i later realized that there is a large built in cavity ( for the built in scupper that dumps in the pump tunnel) from the firewall back that fills with water (close to a gallon or so) weighing down the tray area making it more difficult to get up.
So i searched for a versiplug replacement post and this was the closest one I could find. Aqualocos talked about the water not wanted to turn 90 deg. well. Without more elaboration i figured the 90 deg design is ok and I'd try it for my self until the ball gets stuck. Hope not! There is a foam piece just before the versiplug in the cavity so hopefully it will filter those bolts and zip tie ends .
I too bought the "for KRASH hulls" PD2000 versiplug from Hot Products / PWC Doctor . The reason Im posting this is because whenever you saw this for sale it always said " Modification required" yet I couldn't find the info. SO... Here it is.
Dismantal your OEM scupper and turn it on a lathe to about 67 mm. The orignal hole was about 62mm. Then I took the vesiplug and put it into the lathe and cut 1mm off (66.5mm) of it for the length of the whole thing untill the stop pin. about 8mm from the end. This give the plastic tube a step stop. I slide the tube onto the bored old scupper plate and siliconed it together. Now the plate with versitube is ready for a standard light film of silicone and 2 screws for the install. Attached are some pics.
If anybody has any other pointers or ideas , please share.
