Krash!

I got a 21 krash footrocket 1200. Been running great. I was wondering if it took on water and the engine bay was full would the ski float? Or would it sink to the bottom? I don’t know if they have foam under the tray.

If it doesn't have foam stashed everywhere it will go to the bottom quick. I have watched Stock Kawasakis and Superjets lose their hoods and the back of the hull remained out of the water. I know old X2s rely on their hood foam, lose the hood and they will go to the bottom. All the aftermarket hulls are designed mainly to appeal to young males. This segment will never consider losing their ski until after it happens. Then they come here and cry about it.

Stock superjets float without a hood. You can barely see it though. All bets are off when you start cutting and modding for footholds etc. But bone stock it wont sink. Aftermarket hulls are good as gone.

I know this is a freestyle/freeride sight but id rather bop about on a supetjet with a few engine mods then lose a 25k 6 ft boat that took 2 years to get after purchasing.

Insurance my man! :)

I also shove a bunch of pool noodles under the hood of my krash. I dont think it will float forever, but might by me an extra few seconds to get a tow rope hooked on.

Im lucky i can wipe my butt quinc. I aint gonna figure out toy insurance in the near future! Lol

Not that it matters anyways. Superjets are the best skis

I have NO interest in riding and purchasing skis that just backflip or pretend its a superjet, but it sucks ass

Im just not a freestyler

I have the krash reaper. Can ride all day without getting tired compared to a standup. And every time I tried to ride my superjet down the face of a wave I would eat the sandbar. :(

@Ben34 my 2014 foot rocket doesn’t have enough foam to keep it afloat.Your ski is a bit bigger than mine, but l think that’s relative.Either it would sink or just float in a neutral position just under the surface lMO

Kind of figured. There’s a few threads on here that chat about what insurance company’s will cover you.Maybe try that?

Quink, lean back. And bless krash for doing amything at all. But fot heavens sake lean back on your sj. <3

Would love to ride some freshwater surf! :D
Would be rad as hell if you ever decide to make the trip up. Fair warning though. Lake erie is finicky as hell. Could be dead flat then get huge when you don't want it. And 9 times out of 10 it's a big washing machine.

Worst case scenario we order a pizza and light fireworks in the back yard lol.

Wouldnt mind trying that reaper though!

off topic question. Do you guys set yours skis up to idle on water? All my other skis idle great. The Krash idle I had to turn up and it idled great in water. Took it out and ran on hose later and it idled at 5000 rpm. Had to turn it back down. I’m confused lol. At 3000 rpm out of water it would only idle in water for 3 seconds
