Just moved to Kingwood and brought my skis down. Does anyone here ride lake Houston frequently? I rode yesterday and it was the hottest lake I've ever been in!
I live in kingwood and ride my blaster out of river grove park. I have portable buoys that I sometimes throw out too. If you have time, come to Gene's powersports in Baytown on Saturdays. There are lots of standup and blaster riders there and they have a large buoy course on a private lake - all free of charge. There are also mechanics and ppl with expertise on site if you have issues.
Sounds great. Watch out for the 9' gator that's been seen over at LH Marina! You can google it. Gene's is awesome, especially if you ride a standup and they have a great crew that goes out there regularly. Join the TXH2O Racing group on Facebook.
Hey I'm in Houston. will have to come there on a weekend.
I'll be on lake Houston Thursday about 430 with a coworker who just got a 750sx. can you recommend where to launch? If you decide to come my name is Aaron and I drive a lifted black jeep.
I've never had any problems with jumping boat wake on lake travis and austin, but for some reason the people on lake houston have been so pissy about me jumping wake. I have been at least 100ft (boaters handbook says 50ft) from their boat and have been harassed by 3 different people now. What gives? They were yelling at me saying it is illegal and tried to call the water cops, but I've looked over the handbook and laws and I was abiding by everything. Probably just mad because they suck at wake surfing.
There are a
There are a lot of couchers on Lake Houston jumping wakes and not paying a bit of attention to people in the water.
We surfed down by the dam on Sunday and a coucher buzzed way too close to my buddy's wife.
