Lamey / BlackJack Carb Jetting... Also what Impellor?

Thursday I will be picking up a 62T Lamey PV motor, but don't know where to start jetting my carbs at.

The setup will be as follows (freestyle ONLY):

• Lamey Powervalve Cylinders, 62T Cases, 8MM Stroker, 81.5MM Flattops, ADA Head, ~800CC & 185 PSI Compression
• BlackJack 44MM Carbs
• Factory B-Pipe, Mod Chamber
• MSD Enhancer

Not to crazy of a setup, but a huge bump up from where I am at presently. Hopefully help me complete that last 1/4 of my 3/4 rolls with my bad form :Banane36:

Also, impellor... 13/17? Currently have a 14.5/18 in there now which I know could be better.

As for ignition I know Total Loss would be sweet and the way to go but just is not practical at the moment, I have to make due with what I have.

I do have dual cooling so I can tune the engine system and exhaust system independently from one another.

Again, just do not know where is start jetting wise. If someone can get me in the ball park, I can tweak the adjuster screws fairly accuratly.

Call Art at Jetworks... he can get your some freaky accurate jet numbers better than anyone on this board can. Charles might be able to help ya... but Art be the man with the Blackjack in his hand.

That is a possibility. I'd hate to call him and bug him though since he makes a living off of it.

Art will talk your ear off. If he minded talking, I doubt he would do that. He made the carbs, he knows them well, he knows what will work. Do it mang. :fing02:

Yup Art will offer tons of advice. Great guy to talk to. I'm piecing together all the parts to rebuild and engine with a cylinder ported by him and he has been so helpful thus far.

Art will get it real close. I just switched to a single 48 novi and he nailed the jetting specs really close, it ripped the first ride out!!!

I have heard Total Loss preached by a lot of people on here. I don't doubt that it makes a difference. It's physics. It has to work better. However, don't dump on your stock stuff yet. I have a 5 mil pv Lamey I just got done building, and I was convinced by the way everyone talked that I would need TL to make it hit stupid hard. Well, it's not the case. I am running an MSD enhancer and a STOCK unlightened flywheel.... I'm not going to touch it. It hits harder than Mike Tyson before he started biting ears. Seriously. I would actually like to tone it down some. Coming off a LPW freestyle ported 701, this stroker is violent.
