Those of you who have been taught to pronounce the word Lamey incorrectly, this video should help. There is only one "m" in Lamey and phonics should dictate that the "a" is long. There has been some confusion spurred on by a particular builder who mispronounces it and has most of the standup community saying it wrong also. Perhaps hearing Dan Lamey pronouncing his own name will help.:smile:

If anyone is wondering why it takes so long to get cylinders, it is because he is really getting HUGE in the ATV world and is now expaning to MX motors as well. Very smart man.

man i love seeing stuff like that. i dont even want to know what that system cost let alone the 5 axis machine i know those have a nice price tag on them. i wish my shop would spring for a 5 axis maybe one day

That is pretty interesting. I think I know where you are trying to go with this. But let me ask you something, how much time have you spent up north?? and I mean the North East above Virginia?

A lot of people also dont realize Dan does all this work from a wheelchair. I believe it was 1983 when he crashed into a fence on a ATC and became paralyzed.

people have been misspelling my last name and mispronouncing it for as long as can remember...........
there aint no damn D, G, K, or S in it...

funny, go up to New Jersey and ask how they pronounce that brown stuff that comes out of a tree, and a nice old lady named "Aunt Jemima" sells it at most grocery stores.

Most parts of the country people pronounce it "Syrup" ~ sound like "sur-rup"
while in NJ all I heard was "See-rup"

Which is correct?? really neither and both........ It is called "Dialect"

in lower alabama there is a town called "Florala", it borders alabama and florida state lines.

most people pronounce it "Flo-ra-la" while many included my inlaws who live less than an hour away pronounce it "Flo-ri-la" yet there is no "i" in the name of the city at all. It is just dialect.

So, some may say "Lame-y(ee)" while others may say "Lha-my(ee)"

Big damn deal!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least I learned something from my grandfather.
