I use to keep my ski at Victoria. The owners were very nice, and being able to sit outside and eat on their deck overlooking the marina was something I always did at the end of riding. Perhaps they might be interested in sponsoring, so that permitting etc. (if necessary) is covered. They have the potential of making it back, and then some, with fuel, food and drinks, plus benefit from some marketing.
Ronny, that could turn into something lucrative for you on down the line, getting hooked up with them. Maybe one of you guys should stop in their restaurant and talk with them.

Don't hold your breath guys - there's a reason we stopped doing the ride there, and it wasn't through lack of people to organize it. It was more to do with blue flashing lights and handcuffs - and not the padded, consensual kind.

yeah but that was almost 2 years ago that they gave us trouble when they planned the SFF... i live and ride here on lanier and ive never really had any trouble with DNR...you just have to be on the lookout for them while riding

This is how not to have a free ride in your community.
*The DNR in-charge of Lanier read this person post on the X after the last Lanier ride. A single post by a jetski'er was used as ammunition to deny our return to Lanier --a traditions ends.... after others hard work.

well, this wont be a ride by any means, but me and robby(aka Super_slow_jet) are wanting to get together and do a weekend of camping at the lake on July 4th weekend as my b-day is the 4th and his is the 7th and do a bday celebration. rob has already looked into it and ALL of the parks are sold out on camping sites at lanier, so maybe hwy 41 capmground is where we are going to do it. it is litterally spitting distance from the blockhouse marina and there is usually a ton of boats passing thru since we ride right at the no-wake zone. also a big train bridge to jump off of and a small peninsula for people getting pics and vids. blockhouse has definitely become my favorite spot to ride thus far. BUT, i hear of a great spot by the dam at red top mountain, which from what i hear, all of the cabin cruisers go to..
so for now thats our plan. and we will have at least 5 people riding. if you are in post up and we hope to see you guys there!
