If you get a laynard, I'd suggest you leave it attached when storing the ski. The laynard simply depresses the stop button when it's not there. If it's not attached, then the stop switch is permantly being pushed down, which can reduce the life of the button underneeth the face plate.

I agree and disagree. I saw a thread years back on PWCT where the guy was trailering his 750 SX or SXi to the water and it started up on its own. It basically melted everything down inside the engine and engine compartment because it ran so hot for so long without cooling water. He had the lanyard hooked up while driving...

But yeah, I would leave mine hooked up to keep the button new.

I went to my local Kawi dealer and ordered up a few of just the face plate to have a couple of extra ones. I forget how much they are a piece but i think like 60 or 70 bux or something along those lines.

i paid 30 dollars from chester on pwc today, what can i say i am a bit of a cheapo lol, just lucked i guess but i would post it here or there in the wtb section ,and save money you dont need new, the rest of money is for beer
