larger motor mounts on SJ

Put 2 XL 760 motor mounts on my RN SJ for now to ride in the morning...they are larger diameter rubber beefer but match angle and height...anyone run these stronger ones ? pros or cons ?

you can use gp800 mounts too.

I think they work better. All my mounts fail in the same place, the top plate rips off, if there is more surface area for the rubber to bond to the top plate then it must be better.

stock motor mounts work the best

Do they though?

Even with Kenney Keepers, I'm still tearing them apart.

The stock rubber that the plates are molded onto are the weak points. Yeah, the oem ones seem to be good for now, but it's only a matter of time before someone makes some aftermarket ones, that are adjustable so you don't have to use shims and are made from a stiffer more durable nolathane material..... ;)

after two days of riding the 2 XL 760 motor mounts on my SJ are doing their job fine...I have one on each side of the motor...one in rear and one in front....the other two are oem sj mounts...:fingersx:

The hard rubber Wammer mounts work great and are lighter then the larger units.

Stock mounts might work well for unmodified skis but they are not suitable for freestyle/freeride applications IMO.

What are they though. I have 2 sets but never matched them up anything yet.:popworm:

I'm not sure what you're asking but they're just stock type mounts with a higher density rubber compound.

I don't think they're another brand name but something they had made to their specifications.

Very rarely do they oem mounts twist the rubber and break it, it seems de-lamination of the top plate is more of an issue....
