so went home on leave the past 2 weeks and literally about a day before i had to leave top come back to nc, i managed to pick up a 750sx with a west-coast pipe (although i believe its a 440/550 pipe due to some google research [http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kawasaki-44...t-Pipe-Jetski-Jet-ski-Westcoast-/252580569026] which now that i think about it not even sure if it was a 750 under the hood lol was in such a rush to purchase just for the hull i dint really look to well) and a trailer big enough to fit it and my FR for only $300!
The ski has good comp. on both cylinders and the only thing keeping from it running was a bad exhaust hose (so scored a back up engine seeing as my brother just finished getting his 750bigpin bored out to a 783 that will now be getting slapped into this hull over the 650sx hull) other than that the hull itself is in good condition besides a layer of concrete dust from where it was stored, nothing a good pressure washing couldn't fix.
As far as the trailer, it was a single couch trailer with a wooden deck built onto it wide enough for 2 stand ups that just needs a new wheel hub that we will probably take and scrap the wooden deck and build something outta stainless/ galvanized aluminum to take the weight down. overall i think it was a decent steal for a spur of the moment kinda buy.
Shes gonna end up being my brothers (@650KawasakiRider) main ski and most likely his Christmas gift. hmm now what to name her???

how we transported the trailer and ski due to the bad wheel bearing. note the protective layer of concrete dust from the ski setting for 5 years.15052024_1149672971747136_667600421_o.jpg 15007941_1149672975080469_1679807913_o.jpg

Post pressure washing picture, we forgot to take pictures of the engine bay and during the tear down of the ski to prep it for its new insides.15033862_1149672991747134_1790198372_o.jpg

In my experience free kawi's arnt even good deals because you have to wrench more than you ride

.02

hmm, the kawi 650sx that i had received from a friend years ago cause he was trying to clear out his garage i not once had to wrench on, and we sunk that ski twice. i had to wrench on my 701 sj more than it. but i guess i could have just been a lucky one. only time will tell, and even then i wont be wrenching on it my brother will be.

depends on the scrap value I am guessing.
why would scrap value matter if i dont plan on scrapping it?

we already had a complete and running 750 (bored to a 783) set up swapped into a 650 hull, once we are done swapping that into this hull so my bro can actually have a legal registered ski cause we didn't have a title for the 650, i think i will definitely get my money out of it. some would argue that the trailer alone is worth $300 that i got a trailer with a free ski lol

on a side note, how are these hulls compared to a 89 650sx?

Honestly, I think it is a great first ski for someone to learn on. It actually cleaned up nicely and as long as it runs with good compression it's not a bad buy.

This would be his second ski moving up from a 650sx, and it should run great the motor we are gonna swap into is fresh from the machine shop.

all westcoast pipes look exactly the same to the untrained eye. a 550 pipe will never bolt up to a 750. if it has a westcoast pipe then it has an aftermarket exhaust manifold also. one look at whats under the hood and I could tell you everything there is to know about what you got. if the westcoast pipe has 2 water nipples on the side closest to the motor, its a 750 limited pipe.
I will have my brother snap some pictures of the pipe since the motors already been pulled for you to see. I've never felt with westcoast pipes so I wouldn't know all in all

I have a carbon Krash fr with a JM 718 in it. This ski will be my brother's and more of a go really fast ski.

550 Westcoast pipe will have 2 bolts for the headpipe to manifold, 650/750 is the same pipe, 3 bolts for headpipe. 750 pipe came with a U Bend pipe to return back to waterbox.
