My brother "Gasgas" loves the dirt, but is now out for the next 4 months of summer jetski riding. He missed a double and landed straight into the ramp face, broke two bones in his wrist, just had surgery on monday and they put a steel plate under the skin. I know you can get hurt on a ski, but it must be 10 times safer in the long run.:banghead::banghead::banghead:

I endoed over a big tabletop in November 2004 on my CRF250. I broke my arm in multiple places and had to get 2 plates and 14 screws in it. Somehow I ended up with a 1" tear in my upper lip that I did not even know I had until the doctor asked me if I wanted to look at my face in a mirror. I also tore some ligaments in my wrist that they did not know about until I could use my arm in January, had to get surgery on that too. Couldn't ride until June 2005 and I still had problems with it for the rest of that year. Its almost 100% now, though. Messing yourself up bad does suck, but I knew it was going to happen sooner or later anyway.

If you ride a bike its not if its when

we all know this and take that risk every time you kick the bike over

Life is a risk I guess I could stay home and watch Bowling

Hope your bro heals quick

I endoed on my raptor on May 19th I dislocated my shoulder (no biggie) but broke my hand. I just saw the bone doc today and he said another three weeks I have a very strange fracture its not a clean break but multiple spider fractures. His is afraid that the vibration from the bars and yanking on the bars could crumble my knuckle

Wow that sux for Greg.:crutches: I wish him a speedy recovery.
I think about that every time I get on my street bike.

Hmmm, I wonder if he needs to sell his SJ to pay medical bills???
Sorry Greg I just had to.:pokey:

Nice pics. Here is an X-ray from a couple years ago of my left arm. Looks like your surgeon did a better job, only having those 2 small cuts. I have two cuts. One is 5" long, the other is 4". These X-ray scans are pretty crappy, you can really only see the hardware that has since been removed.

Isn't having hardware sweet? Having no cast and all. I was able to lift my backpack and junk 4 days after surgery. Of course, I'd rather not have wrecked so hard I had to stay in the hospital for multiple days.

I don't think you got what I meant. But your injury also looks like it is more painful. I just meant that I was able to ride my bike and lift stuff and use my hand for normal everyday stuff compared to if I had a hard cast on. Having it in general blows though, I agree. I just liked it more than a cast, thats all.

I get it, i was in a fixed splint for 1 week before surgery and again in a cast for 8 days after. Couldnt wait to get it off so I could straighten my elbow :bigeyes::brap:
