I know-I should have built a SJ not an SXR!!! Too late-I now have 7300.00 tied up in a freestyle SXR-sooooooo-I have now spent 3 days tryin to stab-
spent most of 2day working on set up wakes-can't get far enuf outta water to bring azz of ski up and around-do I need a tsunami wake to get the dam thing outta water? Is anyone here flatwater stabin/and or rollin a SXR with the stock heavy hull?:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I really don't know-but somewhere between an azzload and 2 azzloads! I've always liked to be the one thats different and thought I could do this w/an SXR-but now I'm startin 2 second guess myself.
I can get a good drive off a boat wake if its 'the perfect wake'. Deck boats at approx 10mph leave a nice roller wake to where I can roll over 1st wake and then grab a finger full and launch up the 2nd wake. I cant get out of the water at all on a 'first wake'. I really need 2 wakes w/little gap between em
to set up on 1st and launch off second.

As far as technique goes-I'm tryin everything I've read here as far as set up
wakes go-which was a HUGE help-just can't get enuf lift out of water. From there I'm guessin all the way. I need to get my arse to Tuscaloosa and ride with B.K.-he is the KING of stabs-of course he can do it w/no wake on a SJ.

If you guy's knew Gil you would know that he only learns his lessons the hard way.:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

After pancaking his head and ski off of bass boat wakes for half the day. He has also come to the realization the SJ has a better weight to power ratio. Which make it easier to attempt flat water tricks, not to say it is impossible on a SXR, just painful to watch.

Just remember Gil 'The Little Engine that could' Repeat after me " I think I can, I think I can" :arms: :arms: :arms: :arms: :arms: :arms: You will nose stab.:cheer: :cheer:

gil, if you are really serious about rolling and or nose stabes, you really need to loose the Mac Mashers and get you a set of real footholds, you need something that you can really lock your feet in so you can use your legs/feet to help the ski get around..........

I have a set of Blowsion Kickers sitting at the house..............

I would even help you install them........... but would prefer you to order some 24/7 Universal fit footholds............

I agree-I have finally got used to footholds and love em-the 24/7's is what I really want now. $ is a little tight for the next month-but I hope to have em
installed by Lanier. You guys have ruined me-I can't stand to ride a ski w/o them now! Never thought I'd say that.

Check out these two pic's. John in St. Louis is on his way to a real nice stab and only after a few attempts on his SXR. He has a real set of foot holds, not mashers other than that the ski is completely stock. I went home after I took these pics but I heard he had the ski completely inverted and nose first later in the day.

So it is possible on an SXR but you have to ask yourself…..Why? When there are superjets.

I feel the same way he does, I like the “road less traveled†also. Only for the simple fact that it *is* the “road less traveledâ€
