OOP's yeah that is true my bad.It has nothing to do with the pistons. A 62T cylinder has higher exhaust ports than a 61X cylinder. That's why there's less compression.
Learn to do a cc check for the measured compression ratio and use the exhaust duration for a correction factor. My bet is a weak starter system. Note I said SYSTEM...that means everything related to the starter and including the starter.
The battery, all 3 battery cables, solenoid relay, bendix and the starter.
If any of these items are weak, your compression reading with a guage will be low.
