Life vest for my lady.

hey everyone, im looking for some input on a vest for my wife. shes new to skis and is a good swimmer. anyways she really likes the new jetpilot lady luck comp vest but its not coast guard approved. she will only be riding with me on inland lakes. do you think this vest will work well or should we just find a approved vest. thanks

I'd get a coast guard approved vest. Looking good is not worth risking your life. I had a comp vest. Used it once or twice and then sold it.
Not sure what her style is but Costco has nice vests for cheap. http://www.costco.com/snorkel-vests.html

they are just super thin. You wont float...seriously. I had the burn industries nitro lite vest because it looked bad a$$. If I fell, I started sinking. You have to be conscious so you can tread water to assist it. If she gets hit by a retarded boater and knocked out and is wearing one you guys will be sending dive teams to retrieve her body.

look into o'neill.. i wear one of their assault vests and love it.. they also have a few for the ladies and i believe they are all CG approved
