Super Jet Light crank

This is maybe a stupid question, but can you make a stock crankshaft lighter?

crankworks list it in their services http://crankworks.com/index.php/pwc/pwc-services not sure what they can bring a superjet crank down to in weight. I was building an polaris octane up last winter and had thought about getting that crank shaved down for weight but that crank was a monster. The superjet one is not too bad.

Okay soo it can bee done. Just think it is a nice way too get quicker revs.

Its a common "cheat" in stock class racing and is not cheap to have done....
Can loose up to 5 lbs. in some instances.

DAM 5 lbs that is a lot, that has too help reving up. Has somebody have this done ?

Yes - first start witha 650 SJ crank - then get hollow pins for the rods when rebuilding.
650 webs are slightly lighter
