light weight carbon wave blaster hull

So we decided last week that we are going ahead with the wave blaster mold. We received a donor ski stripped it, and started with the bondo and sanding. You never realize how many imperfections a 15 year old ski has until you prep one. As everyone should know we have been working on the hood for a couple weeks. I think there is more work in creating the hood than there will be making the hull mold. We completly redesigned the whole inside of the hood and air intake we are making it so the inner, bafel, and air intake will work on any outter hood design. Scottie mac shipped us his one off hood on Friday that we will roll a mold off of and fit on our inner, and let me say this his hood is sick!! We are very fortunate to have scottie assisting us with this whole project. We will be making light weight glass, visual carbon, and solid carbon with kevlar reiforcements in all three pieces; hood, bottom deck, top deck. We will not be selling these pieces for a fortune I don't know exact price but I know the glass hull with hood will be under 4500 and solid carbon under 8000. Our goal is to keep complete hulls under 100lbs. And yes we will be vaccum infusing everything. Also if you know anything about how we build our boats the skiis will follow the same quality and durability. I will be posting pics of progress tomo. If you have any questions or ideas let me know. Thanks

is there much of a market for a $10,000 carbon b1 hull?

Where did you get 10K from? Dan is hoping to make hulls in the 4-8K range. Even if someone goes the complete visual carbon route (around 8K) all they need is a running blaster to transfer everything over to and have a ski that is going to be 80-100lbs lighter than stock. This is what the freeride blaster guys have been missing for years. IMO.

Honestly Im not sure yet hopefully under a G maybe more maybe less. I can tell you this I will be selling them for the least expense possible. But at the same time I lifetime warranty EVERY product that comes out of my shop. So I have to build it right the first time. And yes that means when you attempt the double back flip on pipeline surf and you bail coming off the topp of a 30' swell shatter your solid carbon hood I will send you a new one at no cost.

Honestly I would like to get solid carbon in around 6k and glass under 4k but I don't want to over commit under achieve. What does everyone on here think that they should sell for or what price would you all like to see?

He kept the custom hood from Scottie way longer than agreed and would not ship it back despite Scottie (and the owner) WANTING it back.
He then claimed the hood got damaged/destroyed.
A day later he said it was a joke and shipped the hood back.
Since then he's been moping that Scottie's insistence on wanting the hood back (after being MONTHS overdue) killed the project.

Yeah, it's all my fault, lol. :)

PS
George has a mold of the carbon hood now, so, there is a chance they will actually get made....... eventually.
