Try some "old school" style and take your feet out of the foot holds

Not trying to be a smart a** but I can't figure out why everyone rides with their feet so far back? I get the idea of locking in for certain tricks, but why do people ride that way as a "style"?

Let's see........shorten pole to get weight up front, then stand as far back as humanly possible........I don't get it?

How about putting a set of foot olds in the gunwales, but up front?

-7lbs from waterbox back
-4lbs cart tank.... Dry!
-3lbs on the hood.
-10lb on the battery
-10lbs no foam? Aproximetly
-5lbs bumpers, plastic pices, rail caps..... just a guess.

39lbs total

Holy fuc shiet mexican negger modder fucer.... thats more weight then I though :headbang:

add about 6lbs for Kevlar reinfocement including tray area, and inside of tray ares.....

So about 30lbs lighter id say...... choke on that Doubters :haha:

I think it might have been more meaningful to weigh the ski before and after. You're guessing on a lot of that weight.

^^^^Not realy, just on the foam, and stock bumper bullshiet....<--- and I shot low on those #'s... I need to put it on a scale though for sure! everything else was weighed on a gram/oz/up to 13lb scale.

My pole is going to be at least 6.5" short due to -4" pole, -2.5" turnplate and a change in bracket mounting geometry. I figured with my fat arse, I had to do that in order to keep the nose down. I'm leaving a toe cutout in the back on one side for riding surf stance.

im not sure thats a good idea not to have any foam in there in an situation
it supports the fibre glass when you land the ski

1st I would just like to say what a huge difference in the way this boat handles/ comes out of the water! <---- Sorry to break it to all you none believers like that:haha:

I will be screwed with -75lbs on the new hull  Light boats take some getting used to for sure. I have talked to some people with 50lbs hulls that say the ski is just really boyant and instead of entering the water they have a tendency to bounce off of the water :Banane01: It really thorws you off and takes some time to get acustomed to the feel. I would think that in the surf it would be more difficult b/c the wave action will toss the boat around more where flatwater that is not really an issue.

I cut the tray out and did a layer of Kevlar..... its held up great so far....

I landed a few pretty big roles on the side of the boat.....no problems yet...

Today I landed 2 pretty damn clean flatwater roles:woot: :woot: And a bunch of 3/4 roles..... still good to go!

I dunno, I still wanna hear what its like next year. You get a lotta strength from that foam. I understand if its 100 percent sealed you still get the same buoyancy, but thats there for structure too. Air is VERY compressible. Liken foam to water in compressability, and try squezzing a sealed, empty water bottle, and one with water in it.

In another matter, I think your getting some flex even with the carbon with having that empty space, and landing in the surf hard sooner or later you may come unsealed at some point and get water in there. As the foam also helps prevents a pressure from exerting on all the possible water entry points when you land.

Theoretically.... of course.

I gotcha fine..... As I said, the upper and lower in the tray area are reinfoced with Kevlar..... Kevlar is awsome sh*t, and I try to land everything pole side up..... if It ends up fracturing somewhere I will cut the tray out and reinfoce more..... I think you guys way underestimate the actual strength of these hulls.
