Lightweight-Flywheel-Installation

Guys , thinking of removing the stock flywheel and fitting a lightweight item. (3 questions) , 1 : is it easy to remove it , are there any special tools needed & what is the removal procedure. 2 : will a lighter flywheel make a performance improvement like the manufacturers claim , and 3 : as I have a msd ignition enhancer fitted should it work without any problems.. Thanks.

Easy to remove. I recommend getting the cold fusion flywheel lock or finding a friend who has it. Steering wheel puller will get it off once the bolt is out.

Anything lightened on a rotating mass (if balanced correctly) will improve performance.

As long as you install the stator correctly the MSD enhancer will be good to go. But you shouldn't mess with the stator your only removing the flywheel.

If you use too long of screws, or just screw in the screws for the flywheel puller too far, you will be messing with your stator, since you'll dig into it, so be carefull with those screws!

So the flywheel can be removed without having to mess with the stator , if I`m careful , right...?

Correct. Just don't screw in the puller screws in more than like an inch and you will be good.
Be sure not to lose the woodruff key once you remove the flywheel. Its an important piece.
