Well, I have decided to start the next big mistake in my life. I have ordered all the materials to lay up a lightweight Rn SJ hull. I have been riding X2's for a while now and I am in need of a superjet. I didn't want to buy anything used or brand new, so I decided to just build my own. Here goes nothing!!

PLEASE document this as best as possible with lots of pics.
Projects like this are great reading material and id love to try something similar someday

I cant remember who it was, but another member sculpted a fx1 hull to fit a SJ pump and it had a enlarged intake and everything and he made his own mold/hull and it was awesome.

also curious as to how you do the glassing.
Hand laid, vacuum bagged? id love to see some vacuum infusion but im not sure if its very practical, just looks interesting.

Here is the pics of my new SJ out of the moulds. Looks pretty good. Once we get some parts on, I'll get a total weight.

It was a long day.. lets just say that. 3 guys on it for 10hrs straight. There might have been a few beer breaks in between though.
