While we're at it, why dont we start a section for everyone to post pics of their meal that they are about to eat, and another section so we can all post something that our kid said that we think is funny, but no one else does.

There are some pretty irrational posts in this thread... Imagine that?? That's why everyone is on FB now, not this site. How or why would you be against an addition to the site that in no would effect you if it was implemented? You can simply not hit the like button, or ignore it.

It seems like a good idea, the joke most are making it when does it stop.

the like button doesnt have to be related/linked to facebook, and i hope it isnt if created.

i think its a good idea, the thanks button can only be used once a day and most days i log on i see more than one thing i like. most of us dont even comment on things we like just because we dont have much to say, but with the like button, we could still say "hey, thats cool" without adding another comment.

if its not created, those who want it can just start posting "like" after everything we think is sweet. then everyone who voted no will truly be affected by the change, where as if the button is created, those who do not wish to use it simply dont have too.

i really think everyone will start using it if its created thou. the key is not to link it to face book, so every time we hit like it doesnt post on our walls. now that would get old quick. just keep it to the X.
