Limited or Mod?

Hello,
I've been lurking around for a few months and finaly have a question i could use some help with. I'm tring to order some parts for my 08 SJ but i'm having a hard time to decide which pipe to go with out of 4 people i talked to today 2 have told me Limited and 2 Mod the only things i plan to do for now are
ADA head 35cc domes
MSD
Air filters
maybe reeds
and the pipe
which would be the better option? Any input would be great.

I can't tell much diff on a 701 between Lim and Mod and the MOD is a WHOLE LOT EASIER to get in and out.

I have a mod on my ski and it is set up similar to what you want to do except the ADA head, I couldnt be happier with it. And it is a hell of alot easier to get in and out :) Either of the chambers will add 20hp to ur ski BRAP

the limited will give you more low end make sure you modify the stock ignition or buy a new one otherwise your rev limiter will work against you not allowing you to maximize the power the pipe will create

thanks for the info. I was leaning towards the mod in the first place but got swayed by a friends opinion. Does the MSD enhancer raise the limiter?
And are the V-Force 2 reeds worth the money?

Enhancer does have adj rev limiter. As far as V F 2's, I run them in my motor, but cant answer that fairly, the v f 2's are the only aftermarket reeds I have ever used.

I VOTE MOD CHAMBER... i didnt think i'd pull my pipe that often... i had to pull it three times this year... i'm damn happy that i can pull the pipe and reinstall so easily.

I would only use the Limited chamber for freestyle/freeride engines.

Even the Waveblaster Mod pipe is better than the Superjet Mod chamber IMHO.
 
I actually just did a back to back comparison of a mod vs. ltd. the past 2 weeks..


Ran it on my wetjet motor and noticed considerable more bottom end with the ltd chamber..it really seemed to round out the power and make it feel a little more stout...and defintatly SMOOTHER

the mod always ran well...but it has a little flat spot right off idle...and feels a bit more lightswitchy to me


the ltd definatly made more bottom end, and I thought the install was going to be a PITA but really wasnt that bad..not enough to sway the decision


the next experiement will be to try and cram a blaster ltd chamber into my REV..that, in theory shoud be even better as its a stainless chamber and is even larger than the SJ limited..

v force is only worth the money if you race and have a machine that needs that kind of atomization go with the boysen power reed they are made of fiber glass and will not brake or wear out as fast as a carbon reed
besides the carbon reed losses its advantage over the glass reeds after around 10-15 gallons of gas they just lose that snap and are the same as a glass reed after that until they break you should get double the life out of a set of glass reeds
msd enhancers give you a different power curve if your on a budget just cut one of the wires on your ignition I'm not sure which one to cut but I'm almost positive you can completely eliminate the rev limiter by doing this I'm sure someone here on the X knows which wire to cut
